It's time! Do you plan to fiesta with us the weekend of March 30, 31 and April 1? Do you have things you'd like to do on your blog that you haven't managed to get to in forever? Do you want to do those things with lots of other bloggers from all over? Talk things over with them? Bounce ideas off them? Learn from them? Teach them too?
If so, you will not want to miss the latest installment of Bloggiesta! A blogathon created nearly three years ago by Natasha of Maw Books so we could do those very things listed above!
I am so excited to participate in Bloggiesta weekend! Join up here!!
My goals for this weekend are as follows:
- Get to know my fellow bloggers better:)
Meet new bloggers by commenting on blogs:)- Catch up on writing reviews
- Write & schedule 2 Cat Thursday (I always skip these)
- Write & Schedule Blog Tour posts for which I already have materials
- Figure out what Google+ is all about and whether I want in
- Try to figure out how to make meme buttons (with free software??)
- Update my Challenges page
Update my Reviews pageBack up the blog(Backed up to file...but failed with wordpress would only upload 1/3 of posts and a fraction of comments...)- Design & order business cards
Learn at least one new thingParticipate in some fun challenges

sweet..your list sounds like mine. I spruced up my sidebar and now I am trying to add a like button to my blog..eek scary!
ReplyDeleteI don't even know exactly what that means! lol
DeleteFree software for meme buttons...there is a challenge with a demo program listed, but you could also try GIMP...it's completely free and basically like Photoshop. It's a bit challenging to get used to, but once you do it does the trick!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Thanks I'm going to check it out!
DeleteI'm doing this too and I actually already accomplished two things. I can't believe it!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! Maybe I'll 'see' you around. ;O)
Yay for getting to know bloggers better and meeting new bloggers! That's always a goal of mine too:) It seems like I'm always behind on my reviews, so I don't know that I'll ever catch up but it's worth a solid try:) Hope you have a hugely successful Bloggiesta Melissa!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny, Falling behind on reviews is a major problem for me...I have about 20 that I should have already written!!
DeleteI'm hosting a mini-challenge on backing up your blog ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat list you've got. I make blog-related buttons on picnik but now that that site is going away (thanks Google, NOT) I plan to try out PicMonkey, which apparentely is operated by former Picnik people.
Good luck and I hope you get lots done :)
You go girl :)
ReplyDeleteBusiness cards are SO fun!
Where are you going to give them out? You going to BEA?
I'm going to try to get there....if I can get off work!! Are you going?
DeleteI'm up for learning more about free software for photo editing...I was using Picnik, but they're closing down.
ReplyDeleteLast Bloggiesta, I ordered business cards. Now I need more (thanks for reminding me!), as I have a new website.
I've seen suggestions to check out PicMonkey...so I'm going to try that!!
DeleteI love everything on your list - I need to do all those things too :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with getting it all sorted Melissa, I have no doubt that you will!
Megan @ Storybook Love Affair
Thanks Megan!
DeleteYou're blog is so pretty! And you're already on your way to meeting new bloggers! Happy Bloggiesta!
ReplyDeleteAww...thank you...I'm off to check out your blog now!!
DeleteGreat list! I totally forgot about catching up on my reviews, so need to add that to my list too. Looking forward to getting lots accomplished this weekend! Have fun!
ReplyDeletehappy bloggiesta
ReplyDeletecool to doo list
I particularly like your "learn at least one new thing" goal.
ReplyDeleteIf you need help with meme buttons let me know.
Thanks, I may take you up on that!!!
DeleteGood luck with Google+ ! I had my profile but I just learned to create pages. It's another way for people to follow my blogs :D
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Thanks...seems like there are almost too many ways to follow now! Good thing or bad? lol
DeleteGreat list! I had Google+ but deleted it after 2 days ... I just didn't know what to do with it! Hope you learn something! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy bloggiesta!
I am tempted to do the same...how many sites can I really keep updated and still have time to read and review???
DeleteI think one of the biggest benefits I have received from Bloggiesta so far is visiting new blogs and meeting fellow bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteDear Melissa, I am a new member of your blog and I love the design and the content. I am the author of Deadly Pleasures, a mystery/thriller that Blueink Review called "Sex in the City meets James Patterson." It is targeted to your age group and I hope you will put it on your list to read and review. It's a little bit raunchy but not too bad. Check my blog: http://maryfirmin.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI think you made a great list and I'm sure you'll get a lot done! I am on spring break this week so I will be spending a little time on my blog too! Need to get caught up on a few bookish thoughts and challenges too!
ReplyDeleteWe all need to stop and take time to catch up on things :)
DeleteI'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but try to reset the importer and try it again. I had to do this multiple times when I first backed up there. :) Good luck today!
ReplyDeleteI hope your bloggiesta is going well for you!
